Films are dreams made true. Cinema are visions come to life.
We are a triumvirate of filmmakers. We find exhilaration in our work. We find serenity in our occupation. Film is a medium of enchantment and possibilities. We operate diligently within its disciplines as we navigate this vale of tears.
As children, we were deluged with chronicles and stories, fables and parables, and the 'Tales of the Unexpected' featuring Roald Dahl. The adventures of Odysseus of Ithaca, Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest and D’Artagnan of the three Musketeers wetted the appetite for guile and daring. The spirit of the heroic Achilles, the cunning of Anansi and the noblity of King Arthur ushered us into magical realms, where we have abided ever since. Who wants to live in Camden when you can dwell in Camelot? Only by necessity do we engage with planet Earth.
We are beguiled by the world of Walt Disney and Watership Down, Narnia and Nirvana, Elysium and El Dorado. From whatever nation our antecedents crawled from, they, too, were entranced by the histories and stories that led to the formation of both nation and identity. Myth and legend, mystery and magic, theater and thought-provoking allegories brought our respective civilizations into being.
From epiphany to celluloid, we construct the sinews that bind every particular strand of our visual art form, from inception to creation. We cultivate every embryonic undertaking from conception. We work with both rigor and enthusiasm, though our style maybe considered unbridled and unorthodox. We are students of those that came before us. Every epiphany is an invitation to ascend the skies of invention and into the realms of outer space. Every project is an opportunity to both descend the deepest oceans, luring us further into the unknown abyss. Filmmaking is an enduring process of nuturing and problem-solving. It is a painstaking process but those who are practiced in forbearance and determination will prevail.
Hermit Pictures is less than a year old and yet we already have a cache of films and television programming on our production line.
Our first feature Kevin & Cassandra will make its international screening premiere at the Marbella International Film Festival 2025.
We have three feature films Itchy Eyeball, Elixir and Aquarius Sims and a television series Brendan Baker in preproduction. All five projects are optioned. Several more works are being nurtured and incubated in development.
Our ambition are our long-life endeavors. Join us as we embark on a breathtaking odyssey: to make compelling filmmaking for the ages.
